  • No. It's an full desktop class AMD Ryzen 5 8600G. Much faster in audio benchmarks than the Apple M2 or M4. 1000s of times the DSP performance of flagship guitar modellers able to run NAM A2 models on every channel at once… while also recording.

  • Screen is 10.5" at 3:2 aspect ratio. 240mm x 174mm. You can plug an additional screen in over HDMI. You can display different content on the external and internal screen, for example for VJing or teaching.

  • Yes. It's a 100w 8ohm reactive (has inductive elements) load box with cab through. If you want to capture an amp that isn't 8 ohms you can plug in the correct cab to the cab through jack and the load will
    be disconnected but the transformer section will still get the amp signal into Hugo.

  • Fknobs are designed and built by us on our own lathe. They are a combination of a foot switch and knob that can be used with your hands or your feet. Unlike traditional encoders, potentiometers or switches they work via magnetic sensing so instead of 24 pulses per revolution they are 1000s. The fknobs sense rotation and height, so they can be used very expressively. The are machined from 36mm solid metal and then the acrylic lens which we also machine is inserted. The walls are metal on metal and so much more sturdy than traditional foot switches or encoders. If you're trying to think of the size think of guitar effect foot switches with topper installed.

  • No. We need to create installers for each plugin and then setup the macro mapping in Bitwig. Hugo can use Windows or Linux VST or CLAP plugins. It can't run Mac only plugins. We have already tested popular plugins from many major manufactures and a full list will be available at launch. If you need a specific plugin please request it. People can create there own plugin installers if you need plugins more urgently but this process is a little fiddly.

  • The version running on Hugo is identical to desktop Bitwig. It is not a special or limited version. It does have a very powerful integration control script. Future versions of Bitwig will run on Hugo. The edition is Bitwig Studio Producer.

  • Yes, what ever control you touched last is automatically assigned to the top right fknob so you can very quickly and accuractly tweak compared to keyboard / mouse setups. Bitwig’s macros are mapped to the left 8 fknobs.
